Information and Referral
A resource center, Information Specialists, our website, monthly mailings, a newsletter, and community outreach are used to answer questions and provide current information on resources and events.
Parent-to-Parent Support
Individually or in groups; parents may draw on the wisdom and experience of other families.
Autism Specialists
With expertise in resources, behavioral and communication issues, teaching strategies, and community integration help families identify priorities, plan supports, and address skill development and behavior issues.
Advocacy
Supports families in their efforts to advocate for funding and services with schools, community programs, and other human service programs.
Flexible Cash/Respite Allocations
Help families have a break in care giving; provide opportunities for social integration; and/or purchase needed services and materials.
Respite Workers
Community Resources assists families in finding and training workers.
Training and Education
Workshops and conferences for teachers, professionals, families, and friends address topics such as the basics of autism, teaching and communication strategies, the special education law, and addressing sensory, sleep, diet and personal care issues.
Community Inclusion
Community Resources provides consultation and training for families, community classes/activities and organizations on how to include children with autism.
Social Skill Builders
Promotes the development of satisfying relationships for individuals with Asperger’s and other communication deficits through information sharing, networking, and training.
