Mother and son with Autism Spectrum Disorder enjoy a laugh together.
The Association For Community Living has a history of improving lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

An Overview - Making Your Gift

We create opportunities and build relationships so that children and adults can learn, grow, enjoy life and have a true choice in their future.

We rely on the support of the Department of Mental Retardation, the Department of Social Services, the United Way, foundations, our generous contributors, dedicated volunteers, and many community partners.

The need is compelling.

Basic necessities like shelter and medical care are funded by government sources.

Yet, this funding is not enough.

Many other services that enhance the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families go unfunded.

We rely on individuals like you to provide the kind of support that adds richness and independence to the lives of those we serve:

  • affordable housing,
  • accessibility,
  • innovative interventions,
  • family support,
  • job and community experiences, and
  • effective parenting approaches.
