A Message from the Director:

On behalf of the staff and Board of Community Resources for People with Autism, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website, where you will find valuable information about our services as well as up to date notices regarding family activities, trainings and other events. Community Resources is a resource center for families of children on the autism spectrum and serves as the Autism Support Center for Western Massachusetts.

Community Resources was founded in 1989 by parents of children with autism. Their primary goals at the time were to help families, schools, professionals, agencies and the greater community to understand autism, to promote the well-being of individuals with autism, and to foster community inclusion. Consistent with our founders' intent, we remain, twenty-three years later, committed to helping families build on their strengths and work to support environments where individuals with autism may be welcomed and valued. We invite you to call or come by our office. We have a wealth of information to share with you, whether you are a parent, a grandparent, a teacher or a concerned community member. Please consider attending one of our trainings or family friendly events.

Our skilled and caring staff are here to help you and your family.

Thank you!

Jan Doody, Director
