"I can't begin to tell you how helpful this teacher institute has been for my practice. It has opened my eyes and mind to the world of autism."
- Attendee at a Teacher Institute hosted by Community Resources

The causes of Autism are hotly debated.  Some scientists are focusing on genetics, while others suggest vaccines or environmental toxins may be involved. Regardless of what causes autism, a growing number of children are being diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder nationally and throughout western Massachusetts.

Community Resources for People with Autism is a non-profit human service agency that provides services to individuals on the autism spectrum.  Our services are provided thanks, in part, to private donations and fundraising events.  While the number of children with autism we serve has increased 900% since 1991, funding has increased less than 90%.

While we applaud the efforts of researchers to determine what causes autism, our mission is to provide much needed assistance to families NOW.  To do that we need your help!  Our events are crucial to raising money, and they are a great way of getting involved!  Please help us help the families we serve by supporting our fundraising efforts...

2008 Community Resources' Annual

Family Fun Day & Fundraiser

Community Resources for People with Autism’s 2008 Family Fun Day & Fundraiser on September 7th at   Golf Acres in Westfield was a great success! The day was very exciting starting with each child choosing a wonderful prize at the registration table. Then the festivities began with the opening of the activities:  go-karts, min-golf, batting cages, driving range, and a delicious BBQ.  Families and staff were able to mingle, see old friends and even make new ones. In all, more than $4,000 was raised in pledges and in-kind donations!   What a great day!
Community Resources’ would like to extend a gracious thank you to all of our sponsors and donors, with whose support helped to make our day such a great success:
