Autism Family Support Specialist -- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Opportunity to join a team supporting families with children with autism living in the Pioneer Valley. Provide support to families by developing plans & providing training to address communication, skills & behavioral needs of children with autism. Educate families about best practices in autism & education. Administer respite allocations, coordinate services & advocate with families. Promote community integration. Plan & coordinate family resource meetings and events. Maintain liaison with other agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual Spanish required. Knowledge of autism treatments, family support, parenting, and three years relevant experience. Good communication skills, ability to work in a team, and sensitivity in working with families. Position requires a car. AA or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency. 30 hours per week with some flexibility. Competitive salary and benefits
Respite Provider
Positions available in western MA. Applicants must be responsible, dependable, and able to make a commitment. Must have previous experience working with people with autism or developmental disabilities. Reliable transportation is required.
